The PrologueAddison knew so many odd facts about Austin, and he knew way too much about her for it to be safe.         She knew that he had a scar on his lower back, just to the left of his spine from when he fell out of a tree.  He knew that she had a scar on her hip jumping off the house to see if she could fly.  She knew that he preferred strawberry to chocolate, and that he wrote better than Charles Dickens or even Charlotte Bronte.  He knew that she was the only girl he knew who liked books more than makeup and she had a singing voice that must have been a gift from God.       It scared her nearly shitless whenever she thought about how mu The Prologue

Faith. I can handle that. Hope. Need it to get by everyday when stuff starts to fall apart. Love. That one's a little tricky.
Why do I have such bad luck in love? It seems as if I am destined to be scarred in my heart and look in from the outside as other people love and are loved. What the hell did I do in a past life that makes me suck at loving people in this one?
I trust too easily, forgive too quickly, and I take too many things way too seriously. Maybe that's my problem. I am just screwed up in the head, a little to naive. Ah, who cares. I can't control my heart any better than I could holde back the ocean's tide. So why bother trying to figure it all out.
There is just one particular guy who confuses the hell out of me constantly. I can convince myself one moment that I am absolutely and completely pissed at him in a way that I have never been angry before. Then the next, I am back where I started: Trying not to like him, but glad I do.
Oh, the matters of the heart. Faith and hope, they're easy to handle. Love, it's another story all together.
